xlivvielockex: TCM ILU. Cat Ballou is probably one of my favorite movies growing up and it’s on TCM right now. I mean, it’s the usual Western kind of storyline. Railroad is moving in, wants people off their land. Only this time, it’s a woman who stands up to them and gets revenge for her father’s murder. And it’s funny. Lee Marvin is brilliant as always. Plus who doesn’t love Nat King Cole and musical interludes? ETA: And yes, it is problematic as fuck with anything regarding the one Native American character but as long as you recognize that, know it’s problematic, then you can still enjoy it. At least, I do.
